Reminder Wesleyan Lacrosse Skills Clinic @ Oakwood March 24th 5-6:30pm

We have the opportunity again to work with the Wesleyan University Womens Lacorsse Team

We will begin prompt at 5pm at Oakwood Sports Center  -40 Oakwood Drive -Glastonbury CT 

Please wear Sneakers, Goggles, Stick, and a MOUTH GUARD -Players need 2 mouth guards 

Greetings 14U Seniors Lacrosse Families:

Rob Hart, Karen Mann, Steve Mann, and Emily Messina will be your Senior Lacrosse Coaches this spring. Rob will be the head coach of the Senior White Team and Emily will be the head coach of the Senior Blue team 

We are still in need of a couple parent volunteers to help assist as coaches. Please contact Gianna Ehrlich with your inquiries or willingness to help or register at Wethersfield Youth Lacrosse under coaches registration.

For the spring of 2023 season will be implementing two levels of teams; an A and B team.

During the first week of practice, all players will be evaluated and placed on either the A level or B level team. The evaluations will be based on their stick skills, field knowledge, game tactics, sportsmanship, and commitment to practices and games.

The A team will also invite some of the B players up for their games to complete the roster. The B Team will also play a series of 7-10 games and a league tournament at the end of the season. 

Stick Skills Clinics:

We will be hosting two stick skills clinics at SDMS 

Weds March 15th 

  • Beginner players with 1 year or less playing experience report 6:15-7:45pm 
  • Intermediate-advance players with 2 years or more report 7:30-9pm  
  • Wear Sneakers, goggles, mouth guards and sticks 

Weds March 22nd 

  • 7-8pm Beginner players with 1 year or less playing experience.
  • 8-9pm Intermediate-advance players with 2 years or more.

Wesleyan Clinic:

March 24th from 5-6:30pm we have the opportunity again to host Wesleyan Woman’s Lacrosse at SDMS

Opening Weekend: 

March 26th the Wethersfield High School Girls Lacrosse Team will run our kick off clinic on the turf from 9-10:30am
